Some skin and gill flukes are notoriously difficult to treat due to the natural mucus layer on the fish which is stimulated to create more mucus and irritate the skin and gills. B-D-S Fluke treatment is sufficient in strength to treat these bacterial diseases and can even stay in the water to destroy the parasites at various stages in their life cycle which might otherwise remain in the pond ready to re-attack your fish.
The success of this treatment hinges on its ability to penetrate the mucus wall and reach the parasites causing the infection.
It is also advantageous in that it does not affect the levels of bacteria in your pond or filter.
