- Hydra Aqua Dechlorinator is an essential additive to neutralise chlorine and chloramines when using tap water to fill ponds etc containing aquatic life.
- Use when initially filling pond with tap water.
- When topping up evaporation losses and when carrying out a partial water change.
- Hydra Aqua Dechlorinator is completely harmless to all pond life, filters and other animal wild life.
For 1-2 ppm chlorine (normal level in UK) add the following amounts of
Hydra Aqua Dechlorinator.
• 10ml per 500 litres of tap water.
• 20ml per 1,000 litres of tap water.
• 500ml treats 25,000 litres of tap water.
• 1 litre treats 50,000 litres of tap water.

Removes Chlorine and Chloramines from tap water for use in water containing aquatic life.
The problem:
All water authorities use chlorine and chloramines to disinfectant water supplies. Chlorine and chloramines are highly toxic to fish at less than 0.05 mg/L.Chlorine and chloramines cause gill damage which results in gill lesions. These lesions will thicken the gill filaments leaving the fish unable to utilise oxygen and release carbon dioxide resulting in fish death.
