Nitrifying bacteria boosts natural bacteria levels in your pond (Spring/Summer)
- Fast acting live bacterial culture, boosts the waters natural nitrifying bacteria.
- Digests harmful ammonia converting it to nitrite then harmless nitrate.
- Digests excess nutrients that would otherwise cause poor water quality and clarity.
- Seeds new biological filtration systems.
- Ideal to boost natural bacteria at start of season.
- Helps maintain a balanced water eco system free from algae and blanket weed.
- Reduces fish lethal ammonia levels.
- Breaks down and recovers organic material (accelerates the natural process).
- Can be added direct to filter or to pond.
- Produces maximum results but still safe for fish and plants.
- Out-competes Algae for Nutrients Required for Their Growth.
- Effective in Both Salt & Fresh Water.
Biological treatment to boost the natural bacteria levels in your pond or lake to re-balance the water preventing growth of algae due to excessive nutrient levels.
Bio Aquatic Boost is a natural bacteria that boosts the levels of nitrifying bacteria in your pond. Bacteria naturally depletes during the cold autumn/winter months so when the temperature starts to warm up, it is a good idea to give your pond a bacteria boost, to stop algae formation due to excess nutrients in the water.
Bio Aquatic Bacteria Boost is used in large Koi and gold fish ponds, zoo ponds and boundary water courses, leisure fishing lakes and ponds that have become ecologically unbalanced, intensive aquaculture operations like fish farms, angling clubs etc, commercial fish farms and live stock holding tanks.
Please note that UV lights kill all bacteria. They do not discriminate between good and bad. If you have UV lights in your pond simply turn them off for 24 hours otherwise it will render the treatments ineffective.
Usage Rates - Ponds
Apply once first week at 1st Application Rate, then use maintenance dose for
next 3 weeks, and then treat once per month at maintenance dose rate.
Either add to biological chamber of filter box (after UV light if present).
Or place required amount into clean bucket add 5 - 10 litres of pond water,
stir and allow bacteria to activate for 20 minutes then add to water surface or
via a feeder stream.
Diluted form is to be used within 30 minutes of mixing.
| Size of Pond In Litres | Size of Pond in Gallons | 1st Application | Next 3 weeks (once per week) | Maintenance once per month |
| 250-1,000 ltr | 50-220 gallon | 100 gram | 25g | 25g |
| 1,001-2,000 ltr | 221-440 gallon | 200 gram | 50g | 50g |
| 2,000-5,000 ltr | 441-1,100 gallon | 300 gram | 75g | 75g |
| 5,000-20,000 ltr | 1,101-4,400 gallon | 400 gram | 100g | 100g |
| 20,000-50,000 ltr | 4,401-11,000 gallon | 500 gram | 125g | 125g |
Usage Rates Lakes
Apply at 1 kilo per acre each week or every 2 weeks, depending on the water
quality and phytoplankton bloom.
Higher dosages produce faster results.
Mix with 10-20 litre of lake water, stir and allow bacteria to activate for 20
minutes then add to water surface or via a feeder stream.
Spread the solution around the surface of the lake.
Diluted form is to be used within 30 minutes of mixing.
