Cold water bacteria boosts ponds natural bacteria level in autumn and winter to bring water body back to natural balance. Clears green and cloudy water starving algae of nutrients. Ideal for pond maintenance during cold months after use of Crystal or Quartz.

The Problem:

Most pond and lake bacteria cease working at temperatures below 50°F to 55°F. During the autumn and winter there is extreme nutrient loading in the pond as trees and plants in and around the pond are dropping organic material into the pond. Very often the water remains green and cloudy over winter. By spring, the water is saturated by excessive nutrients which are just waiting for sunlight to either turn your water green or produce blanket weed.

Hydra LT Extreme Bacteria (psychropilic bacteria) are specially blended and tested to produce maximum results during colder temperatures.

Applications:

Hydra LT Extreme Bacteria can be used in large Koi and gold fish ponds, decorative fish ponds, leisure fishing lakes and ponds that have become ecologically unbalanced, intensive aquaculture operations, commercial fish farms and live stock holding tanks.

• Switch off UV lights for 24 hours when first adding LT Extreme Bacteria to system.
• If UV is part of filter system then remove fuse for UV tube.

Usage Rates - Ponds
• Apply once first week at 1st Application Rate, then use maintenance dose for next 3 weeks, then treat once per month at maintenance dose rate.
• Either add to biological chamber of filter box (after UV light if present). Or place directly into water body via a feeder stream (waterfall, pump return etc).

Usage Rates – Lakes
• Either add directly into water body via a feeder stream (waterfall, pump return etc) or,
• Spread the Hydra LT Extreme Bacteria around the surface of the lake.
• Apply once first week at 1st Application Rate, then use maintenance dose for next 3 weeks, and then treat once per month at maintenance dose rate.
