Removes Phosphates from water which are a food source for algae.

• Removes 80%+ of phosphorus (phosphates) from water – these chemicals are used as a food source for algae and blanket weed.
• Hydra Phos-Gone also contains a blend of bacteria which mop up the rest of the nutrients over a 4 - 6 week period.
• It helps to restore the water body back to it’s natural state and prevents further algae outbreaks.
• Effective over a wide pH range (6 – 9).
• Made from 100% natural biodegradable minerals.
• When applied to a water body, the phosphates form an insoluble complex within the Hydra Phos-Gone particles thereby immobilising them as nutrients.

Usage Rates:

• 1 kilo treats –100 cu metres (100,000 litres).
• 5 kilo treats – 500 cu metres (500,000 litres).
• 20 kilos treats – 2,000 cu metres (2 million litres).
• For extreme algal problems, you may need to add an extra 50%.

High phosphate levels in the water are often due to over feeding of fish & rotting/dying plant matter. You should also check tap water levels. Cleaning filter boxes and pond maintenance are therefore essential to keep the right balance of nutrients in the pond. An easy way to reduce phosphate levels in your pond is by using Hydra Phos-Gone which immobilises their use as nutrient preventing algae from using them as a food source.
