Use to recharge Ammonia Lock, neutralise ions that harm fish when nitrite levels get too high and for general fish health.

• In ponds without plants - use at 0.2% i.e. 200g per 100 litres of water.
• In ponds with plants - use at 0.1% i.e. 100g per 100 litres of water.
• To recharge Hydra Ammonia Lock granules soak in a 10% solution overnight (i.e. add 1 kilo salt to 10 litres of water.
• Emergency treatment: To neutralise the ion that can be lethal to fish whennitrite levels are too high (over 0.5ppm) ensure Pond Salt is at a concentration of 0.3% in your pond. Eg. If you have 1000ltr of pond water you would need to dose 3 kilos of Pond Salt.

Please Note: Salt will stay in your water until it is physically removed. Therefore the only way to reduce the levels is to conduct water changes where you take out some of the old water and replace it with new.
