Benzalkonium Chloride Disinfectant effective against Koi Herpes Virus (KHV).

• Cleans disinfects and sanitises in one easy operation.
• Stops infection and cross infection.
• Use either by spray, soak or manual application.
• Destroys viruses and harmful micro-organisms on all porous and non-porous surfaces.

How to Use:

• Make up solution to required strength.
• Either spray diluted solution over surfaces to be disinfected and rinse with clean water or,
• Wipe or mop over all hard surfaces to be disinfected and rinse with clean water or,
• Make up soak tank (Use plastic not metal) and soak article for 15 minutes and rinse with clean water.
• If making up large amounts always add the Hydra Quat to the water to prevent excessive foaming.

Dilution rate- 1: 400 with hot or cold water to give 250 ppm benzalkonium chloride.

The problem:

Anglers and fishery owners are being warned to be on their guard following outbreaks of the Koi Herpes Virus - a killer carp disease for which there is no known cure. Disinfectant in net dips needs to be kept fresh and it is advised that anglers and fishery owners immerse nets for a minimum of 15 minutes. Alternatively, some fisheries may insist that anglers use only nets supplied by the fishery itself.

Angling clubs, fishing clubs, commercial fisheries and fish farms for disinfecting and sanitising nets.
